East Georgia Regional Medical Center (EGRMC) proudly recognizes its second-quarter Employees of the Month for 2025. These exceptional team members, Brooks Lord (April), Angelia Morris (May), and Renee Durfee (June), have each gone above and beyond in their roles, demonstrating outstanding dedication to our mission of providing exceptional and compassionate care for “Every patient. Every time. Always.”
April 2025 – Angelia “Angie” Morris, CNA/Unit Secretary, ICU/CCU/Critical Care
For more than 13 years, Angie Morris has been a dedicated member of the Critical Care and Dialysis teams. Known for her leadership and initiative, she oversees the ARJO bed rental program and wave mattress usage for the entire facility. Angie frequently arrives early and stays late to ensure smooth shift transitions and optimal patient placement based on nurse workloads and patient acuity. Always ready to lend a hand, she assists with direct patient care and supports her colleagues in delivering the highest standard of care.
May 2025 – Brooks Lord, CT Technologist, Radiology
With nearly two decades of service at EGRMC, Brooks Lord has consistently gone above and beyond for both his patients and his colleagues. Primarily working the night shift, Brooks often steps in to cover for sick coworkers or fill extra shifts, making personal sacrifices to keep operations running smoothly. His professionalism, reliability, and strong sense of ownership have made him an invaluable part of the Radiology team and the entire hospital community.
June 2025 – Renée Durfee, RT(R)(M), Mammography Technologist
Renée has been a valued member of the Imaging team for over seven years, transitioning from a PRN role to full-time. As the primary trainer for new mammography technologists, she is recognized for her patience, expertise, and exceptional communication skills. Renée’s commitment to excellence has earned her a strong reputation in the community, and her contributions are critical to the success of the Statesboro Imaging Center.
“Angie, Brooks, and Renée represent the very best of our hospital. Their dedication, skill, and compassion embody our promise to care for every patient, every time, always. We are proud to have such exceptional individuals as part of our team,” says Stephen Pennington, CEO of East Georgia Regional Medical Center.
EGRMC congratulates these three outstanding employees and thanks them for their continued commitment to excellence in patient care.
