Empowering women to make better decisions about health, wellness, lifestyle, and beauty runs May 12
Statesboro, Georgia, May 10, 2018 – The inaugural SHE Women’s Expo in Statesboro, will bring together women, families, community-based health organizations, medical professionals, fitness, beauty, and wellness experts for a day of education, inspiration, and fun.
Hosted by the Statesboro Herald, the Expo will take place on May 12 at the Georgia Southern University, Nessmith-Lane Conference Center.
The first SHE Expo promises to invigorate the Statesboro community to keep health and wellness a priority,” said Jim Healy, operations manager and editor for the Statesboro Herald.
Under the theme, Health | Wellness | Empowerment, the Expo is designed to empower women to make better decisions about their health, wellness, lifestyle, and beauty.
Attendees can expect to see a variety of booths and exhibits that make up the four key focus areas: Family, Lifestyle, Inside Out, and Well Connected. The day-long event, with East Georgia Regional Medical Center as title sponsor; Ricky Lane, DDS as presenting sponsor; Seasons of Japan as Gold Sponsor; and Georgia Southern University’s Division of Continuing Education, as silver sponsor, will provide information on health, comprehensive wellness, and assessments – all accessible to women under one roof. The Expo aims to provide a day of enjoyment and education for women of all ages.

Stroller Strong Moms will offer a fitness class from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Following with Fit to Fight® Georgia and their Krav Maga Self-Defense class from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Both classes are free to attend. Participates are encouraged to pre-register due to limited space but is not required.
Statesboro Herald, along with Connect Statesboro Magazine and Statesboro MOMents Magazine are media sponsors for the upcoming show, providing coverage of the Expo throughout the day.
Another highlight of this year’s Expo is the free health screenings offered by East Georgia Healthcare, East Georgia Regional Medical Center, Georgia Department of Health-Southeast District, and Vision Source-Professional Eye Care. Expo attendees can receive blood pressure and vision screenings, stroke assessment and screenings, and HIV testing.
The Expo will run 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 10. Admission is free; although, advance Early-Bird tickets are available online. Expo tickets will enter each attendee into hourly drawings and the SHE Expo Grand Prize. Tickets will be available at the door or online at https://shewomensexpo2018.eventbrite.com.
