EGRMC and Bulloch County EMS Host Hands-Only CPR Class
5/22/2019
The power to save a life is in your hands. Have you taken a course yet on Hands-Only CPR?
Clinical educators at East Georgia Regional Medical Center and Bulloch County EMS hosted a free class this Monday for our community to learn how to appropriately do Hands-Only CPR. According to the American Heart Association, many people who experience cardiac arrest at home, work, or in a public location don't survive because they don't receive immediate CPR from someone on the scene. Hands-only CPR carried out by a bystander has been shown to be as effective as CPR with breaths in the first few minutes during an out-of-hospital sudden cardiac arrest for an adult victim. Stay tuned for more opportunities in the near future to take advantage of these educational, life-saving, free classes.
