2024 EGRMC Employee of the Month, Student Coordinator, Rainey Canady, BSN, RN

Rainey has been part of the team at EGRMC for over five years. Rainey was nominated by her colleagues for her great work ethic, sense of ownership, her commitment to providing quality service and her positive attitude while supporting her fellow nursing administration and recruitment team members.

One leader stated that, “Rainey is committed to EGRMC. She quickly assumed the role of student coordinator and has organized, revamped onboarding initiatives, gone to the local colleges and high schools and hosted student program gatherings on campus at EGRMC. She rounds on students, collects feedback from other hospital leaders and recognizes hospital and clinic team members when they support students.”

Another leader, Marie Burdett, CNO, stated, “Rainey also recently covered an additional position when a team member was out on maternity leave and assists me with the patient experience program. She takes on any task that is requested and smiles while doing it. I feel fortunate to work with Rainey. She makes me want to be a better me. She is such a strong Christian young woman and I appreciate her.”

Rainey has quietly helped completely revamp our student program and now manages over 600 students a year rotating through the hospital. She models our mission to provide quality healthcare services in a safe and compassionate environment to every patient, every time, always.”
