East Georgia Regional Medical Center has a separate building connected to the main hospital dedicated solely to women's services. The Women's Pavilion has a separate entrance for the convenience of patients and families. It is the home of labor & delivery, post partum and a Level I & II Nursery.
PRENATAL CLASSES
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR PREGNANCY
We believe your knowledge of childbirth has a great effect on your ability to cope with changes during pregnancy, labor, delivery, and the well-being of your new baby. Our faculty of experienced prenatal nurse educators will provide you with the knowledge to assist you and your partner in having a wonderful childbirth experience.
THE MIRACLE OF BIRTH is a three-class series that provides an understanding of labor and delivery, coping skills, and the postpartum period. We recommend attending this session in the sixth to seventh month of pregnancy.
BABY BASICS provides information on characteristics of normal newborns, infant care, and safety issues. This class may be taken in the last trimester of pregnancy or following the birth of your baby.
BREASTFEEDING EDUCATION, including our monthly Nursing Your Baby class and individual consultations, is provided by a trained lactation consultant.
INFORMATION PACKETS, including steps for infant choking and CPR, are given to every new mother in the Women’s Pavilion.
TOURS OF THE WOMEN’S PAVILION for the expectant parents and their family are held on the first Sunday of each month from 3:00—4:30 pm.

PRENATAL CLASSES are available free of charge to mom's who plan to deliver at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. Please complete the registration form in the attached prenatal brochure below and return to the hospital. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
